Getting to Waterloo

By Car

Follow the driving instructions. Waterloo is 1 hour from Toronto, 2 hours from Buffalo, 2 hours from Port Huron, 3 hours from Detroit.

By Rail

Kitchener is on a VIA/Amtrak route that includes Chicago, Hammond, Niles, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, East Lansing, Durand, Flint, Lapeer, Port Huron, London, Kitchener, Guelph, Toronto.

By Bus

The Kitchener Transportation Centre, within walking from the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, is served by Greyhound. Example travel times: Windsor (4 hrs 30 min), London (1 hr 20 min), Toronto (1 hr 45 min), Montreal (10 hrs). You can take a 7, 8 or 12 bus from the Transportation Centre to campus.

By Air

Toronto International Airport is the closest (1 hour drive without rush hour) and Buffalo is the closest U.S. airport (2 hours drive). Ground transportation is available from Toronto International via Airways Transit or you can rent a car.

Canadian Customs and Immigration

Canadian and United States citizens may travel between the United States and Canada with identification proving citizenship. Citizens of other countries require a passport, and may also require a visa, depending on country of citizenship.

The region contains western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, eastern Ontario and Indiana excluding the Greater Chicago Metropolitan Area. And McGill, located in Montréal, Quebec.
